Desktop for Tiki Contest

I'm cancelling this contest as there wasn't very much interest (, if you are still up for it I'd love to commission the desktop from you). One of the things I've been writing about (to be posted in the future) is how to get a successful art jam or contest rolling on dA and I broke one of my own rules:

Make it accessible to potential entrants.

I have the feeling that perhaps in narrowing the scope of the contest was what killed it.

Back into Art, kinda

I've got the blues real bad, beyond my attempt at drawing Ruby Gloom I've done nothing all week.

I've been going through old sketches today and I found one I want to do for myself, so you might see something posted today or tomorrow.

Page Views Way Down

I don't know what I've been doing wrong, but my page views are really down this month. I'd like to think I posted some interesting work this month but the numbers don't lie, I've had some great comments though so that kind of evens things out.

One thing I'm greatly concerned about though is the ratio of faves to page views, I haven't worked out the average % yet but it seems to me a lot of people come look, but don't like?

   This work immediately grabbed me, ~LordSephiros does a lot of great macro photography too worth checking out, but this picture just stood out.

   This is my favourite work by ~DJWill the expression on the character and the colours used have an interesting texture.

   Though I desperately love the prize *Rhythm-Wily awarded me through the Megaman Legends Club back in December '07, this image combines two great games together in a fusion that Capcom should seriously consider. *Rhythm-Wily has many great cosplay photos and some excellent colouring skills!

   I love the misty, ethereal quality in this picture, it really stands out in Rasuto's gallery, well done.

   This collab with *mashi was outta the park bud, I don't even know what to say. It caught my eye and didn't let go. I love this style and the colouring is perfection. Well done to both of you.
